ZONGULDAK WILL BE A BRAND CITY WITH THE RANGE OVER A WIDE FIELD OF “COME HOME PROJECT”

As the Zonguldak Industrialists and Businesspeople Association (ZONSIAD), for which I was elected the Chairman in the vote held at the general assembly on February 8, 2020, we held our 5th Ordinary General Assembly on June 26, 2021 in an outstanding atmosphere of unity, togetherness and tolerance with the participation of our valued members, friends and many reputable persons. Since the day we took over the flag, we have worked with great devotion to carry Zonguldak to the point it deserves by realizing many successful projects with our board members. As a result of this, I am happy to be reelected as chairman and renewing this trust by unanimous vote of our members at the Ordinary General Assembly dated June 26, 2021. Our general assembly, which we had to organize at a date much later than we planned as a result of the bans enforced in the scope of the fight against COVID-19, which was affecting the entire world, in addition to other reasons like the university placement exam being scheduled for the same day we had decided on even though it was not such a later date; was eventually held in a very enthusiastic atmosphere with the participation of leading names as well as many valued fellow townsmen and friends who have devoted their efforts to Zonguldak. We have shown what our foundation has done thus far with our family portrait at our assembly widely attended by members, fellow townsmen and friends; and that we have a unity, togetherness and solidarity that sets an example to all foundations and establishments, that, as we have stated at every opportunity, we have aimed from the very beginning to be more than just a signboard association but to operate in a very active and productive manner, that we continue our existence in line with this objective and strive to achieve a higher quality and more powerful structure by adding large companies to our members under the goal to leave a strong Zonguldak to future generations and the goal to unite and become a brand under the slogan that “From Unity Emerges Commerce”.

With the presentation made at the general assembly, many projects and efforts that we have implemented since February 8, 2020, from social responsibility to education, from economic development to the promotion of our city, were mentioned. In the scope of our “Come Home Project”, which we have announced through various press and broadcasting organizations in addition to the many successful activities we have achieved and which have resounded in the community, we have undertaken to encourage our valued fellow townsmen living abroad, who have knowledge and experience in a variety of fields to come back to our country to serve our great country and benefit our townsmen by leading efforts to bring the level of our region’s prosperity to the level of developed regions through economic development and contribute to the economic and industrial progress of our country through investing in Zonguldak; and we have achieved this endeavor. As Chairman of the Board of Directors for Elcab Kablo Profil Sanayi Ticaret A.S., I am proud to lead the “Come Home Project” with the production facility we have started operating in Zonguldak, Çaycuma and suppose that all industrialist should take a part in such associations to carry out the projects, which will bring benefit to the community & human and support the economical development, on behalf of myself.

Our Homecoming Project has made an impact not only regionally but also on a national scale and set an example. The investments that have been made in the scope of our project are neither the first, nor will they be the last; the same goes for the projects and undertakings that will be realized by our foundation with the sole passion of Zongulak at heart. We can grow and succeed by uniting, in solidarity and togetherness. For this reason, we will continue to work tirelessly for our Zonguldak to be worthy of you and our city with the same excitement and faith as we had on the first day and we will accelerate our activities with new projects and the thematic committees we have formed within our structure.

Ensuring the unity of Zonguldak lovers and thinking that we will set an example for the next generations with our association structure that we believe will continue for many years will definitely encourage us to work harder. Let’s not forget that being a pioneer in the development of successful and beneficial generations is also a social responsibility project. As a non-governmental organization that is aware of this, we think about future generations in every step we take, and we strive with all our strength to leave an institutional foundation structure and a strong Zonguldak to the next generation. With the moving of our city, which is indexed to coal and mining, in the new period from the 3rd region to the 5th region in the ranking of incentive for industrial development and the development of the Caycuma Organized Industry Zone for entrepreneurs that despite having companies wanting to invest at present are not able to implement their projects due to lack of space, we will be focusing our efforts to realize the establishment of the Gokcebey Organized Industrial Zone. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the nongovernmental organizations and their administrators, politicians, bureaucrats and journalists who have supported us in all the projects we have brought to life with our patriotic solidarity spirit approach to social and economic causes for our Zonguldak and our country; and all the former board of director members who have worked with great devotion and sacrifice.
