When and how did your company start its commercial activities? What would you like to say about your activity?

HES CABLE, one of the leading cable companies in our country, has become an internationally recognized international company as a result of the success and superior performance it provides in the cable and wire industry. It has grown very rapidly since 1974.

What kind of products are in the product range and where are these products mostly used?

The company produces low, medium and high voltage power cable, copper communication cable, fiber optic cable, aluminum conductor, Solar Cable, Weak Current Cable, Coaxial cable, enameled coil wire and produces a wide range of cable and wire products. The Company continues its investments continuously.

What would you like to say about your production facilities and employees?

Production is carried out according to the ISO 9001 standards and by taking into consideration the requirements of ISO 10002, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001 and ISO 50001 by a team of approximately 1000 people with knowledge and experience, using machines and methods in accordance with the latest technological developments. in 120,000 m² closed, 250,000 m² integrated facilities. Quality certificates such as ISO, TSE, VDE, GOST, ETL, UKRSEPRO and KEMA, which are issued as a result of periodic audits of national and international surveillance firms, are an expression of the trust shown to HES CABLE brand and products. HES CABLE, in addition to the products produced according to international and domestic standards, can produce according to special customer specifications and requests. The products are tested by using modern test equipment at every stage of production and especially during the final controls to ensure high quality products are delivered to the customer.

Does your company allocate budget for R & D and P & D studies? How are your R & D studies?

The Company continues its investments continuously to reality the first time extrahigh voltage power cable manufacturing operation in Turkey. HES cable company’s production capacity is competitive at international markets.

Our company has R & D center and wear test laboratory according to VDE standards. The company is certified with TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 “General Requirements Standard for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories” accreditation certificate by Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) Medium, High Voltage and Fireproof Cable Test Laboratory. The certificate issued by TÜRKAK is the symbol of the reliability and international validity of the accredited test results in all electrical and mechanical tests to be performed in the combustion tests in Hes Cable laboratory. The most advanced technology is used in the laboratories of our company and has the competence of Turkish Standards Institute The company, as well as its leadership in Turkey continues in the international about market innovation, technology, quality, customer satisfaction

How do you define innovation? Can you find out how your company works in this area?

Innovation = expertise + courage to realize firsts. Innovation needs talent. Continuous knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration allow us to continuously learn and develop.

Innovation requires courage. We encourage all our employees to develop their own ideas. We always ask questions and we are open to new concepts. In order to find these, we expand our horizons and try to explore other sectors and unexplored areas.

Do you have any exports? If yes, which countries do you export to?

We export to more than 140 countries in the world.

What would you like to say about your company’s short and long term goals?

As the industry leader in Turkey, brand / reference projects continue to take place in our primary goal. We will continue to be in the electricity sector with our strong and widespread dealer network in RES, GES and HES investments, OIZs, Electricity Distribution Companies, Nuclear Power Plants.

Our goal as export is to realize 50% of our turnover. Herein to work together with our representatives and customers to raise awareness and to participate in more projects, to participate in sector fairs in new and target markets, to make our relations with our existing customers closer and intimate, to introduce our brands and products to our customers, to spread our understanding of sustainable quality to all our processes , not to receive complaints about our products, to ensure that our customers understand the size and quality of our brand correctly, to create customer satisfaction and loyalty, to make our prices competitive with innovative approaches & to raise our brand awareness constitutes our main strategy.

What would you like to say about your company’s quality policy?

Within the framework of CPR (Construction Products Regulations), all of our products’ approval procedures & certifications have been completed in cooperation with TSE. CPR is a common technical language that provides uniform assessment methods for the performance of building materials within the European Economic Area. Objectives; to define harmonized rules for the marketing of building materials, to ensure the availability of reliable information that allows the comparison of building materials from different manufacturers in different countries.

What do you want to tell us about the developmentof your sector as a person who knows your sector closely? Where can we learn about our country’s place in the world market?

There are more than 200 manufacturers in the sector. 80-90% of the total production and turnover of these producers is realized by the top 20 companies. Turkish cable industry’s export figure in 2018 increased by 11.4% compared to 2017, and our export figure increased by 20%. As in 2017, we were at the top of the list as the industry leader in 2018. According to the export figure, we are the 5th company in the sector.

Finally, what problems do you have with your sector and what are your suggestions for solving these problems?

In our opinion, the biggest shortage of the cable sector as in every sector, stems from under the counter. The reasons such as the introduction of poor quality, unbranded, unqualified and inexpensive products and the fact that consumers cannot benefit from it are forcing companies making quality production. The solution to this will be with increasing branding and gradually decreasing production under the counter. Nonstandard and poor quality products in the market lead to unfair competition, restricting the activities of other companies and causes energy losses. It also threatens the safety of life and property. In order for nonstandard products not to be included in the market, both the relevant official and legal institutions as well as all players of the sector should act in a common consciousness and push these products out of the market.
