The giant plant was opened by two ministers The second biggest aluminium cable factory of Turkey was opened with a ceremony by the minister of economy Mr. Elitaş and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr.Kılıç.

The minister of economy , Mustafa Elitaş said that the fact that the plant which he opened has been able to start production activities within a period of time as short as 7 months was an interesting example showing the level of development that Turkey has reached and celebrated the chairman of the board of directors of Borsan, Mr. Adnan Ölmez.
The opening of the second biggest aluminium factory of Turkey, erected on a closed area of 40.500 m2, in the Central Organized Industrial Zone of Samsun, which has costed 110 million TL was made with a ceremony. Besides the minister of economy Mustafa Elitaş and Minister of Youth and Sports Market. Akif Çağatay Kılıç the following celebrities and officials participated in the ceremony: Major of Samsun, İbrahim Şahin, Deputy of AKP from Bursa, Bennur Karaburun, Deputies of AKP from Samsun, Ahmet Demircan, Fuat Köktaş, Orhan Kırcalı, Hasan Basri Kurt, Deputy of MHP from Samsun Erkan Usta, Deputy of CHP from Samsun, Kemal Zeybek, Major of the Metropolitan city, Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz, Director of Police Forces of the Province, Vedat Yavuz, OMU Rector Prof.Dr. Huseyin Akan, Provincial head of AKP in Samsun, Muharrem Göksel,the former deputies of Samsun Adem Yıldız, Cemal Alişan, Musa Uzunkaya, Ahmet Yeni, Mustafa Çakır, Mustafa Demir, some majors of the provinces and districts, businessmen, representatives of the public authorities and dealers and customers of Borsan from 65 countries and from all over Turkey..
EXPORTS TO 65 COUNTRIES IN FOUR CONTINENTS
The chairman of the board of directors of Borsan, Mr. Adnan Ölmez who made a speech before the opening said the following “ Borsan Group has been active with its 15 companies during the 32 years that it had left behind and 5 of those companies are outside of Turkey and the Group directly employs 2.200 people. It exports its products to 65 countries from 4 countries and it is in the status of a leader in 11 of those 65 countries. It is a brand which realizes the highest amount of sales and and enjoys the highest degree of confidence. In the previous years we, as Borsan, used to boast of producing good quality goods, having international and national quality certificates and the state of the art technological machinery. However we no more boast of producing good quality goods because good quality production has become a standart for us. You may set up factories but we know that the creation of a brand is a very different process .We are carrying out different activities in order to carry our brand forward from the point where it is now.Our new investment is set up on a piece of land with an area of 21 m2, with a total closed area of 40.500 m2 and 7. 500 m2 open area. It has a capacity of melting 25 thousands of aluminium a year and it employs 220 person at the moment. It has costed 110 million USD including land, infrastructure , building, machinery and operation cost. We have completed the construction of this building within 6 months . We have started production on January 16, 2016 after having completed the machinery infrastructure within 30 days.
LET GOD BLESS EVERYBODY WHO MAKES THE SLIGHTEST CONTRIBUTION
The major of the metropolitan city of Samsun, Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz, who said that they have to produce further said the following : “The source of this dynamism, result and added-value is the necessity to produce. We are inside a circle of fire and for that reason we have to produce. The geographical region around us is the most expensive land in the world . Everybody keeps an eye on this piece of land, everybody wants to have a share out of it and wants to do something with it. We must absolutely produce and raise our welfare in such a valuable geography. One of the most important factors needed to protect these territories and revive the civilisation which had born out of this country is to produce in huge quantities. And our God shall let us succeed if only for the memories of our martyrs.
SERIOUS AMOUNTS OF MOMEY ARE SPENT
Governor of Samsun, İbrahim Sahin who said that he believes that Borusan Group shall build the fiber optic factory too in the shortest time possible continued his statements as follows: : “A serious shrinkage was suffered after the year 2008. There was a relief as of the year 2012.and we had just begun to gather strength as of 2012, however regional wars or hostilities continiously push the economy backwards. When we have a look at the economy of the country we see that Turkey has bridled the value of the foreign currency. The economy grows and investments are realized . These industrial plants are not very easy to decide upon and build. So one must not take some criticisms against them very seriously. Serious amounts of money are spent to build these premises. A serious decision process is gone through and openings of serious premises are made. Exports are made to 65 countries from this premises.”
WE ARE TAKING BIG STEPS
The minister of youth and sports Akif Çağatay Kılıç who has said that important investments have been realized in various areas in Samsun continued his statements as follows: “Beginning from his term of office as prime minister Our president has put forward an approach which can be summarized with the phrase “Let God bless whoever makes the slightest contribution to the development of the country”. I am also saying here now that I wish God bless anybody who makes the slightest contribution to Samsun or Turkey. This plant has costed 110 million TL. This investment has been made in Samsun. Sometimes I witness Exchange of ideas in which people ask one another if there is any development in Samsun and if investments are made in the city. This plant which we are now in can probably be said to be the embodied form of the answer to such questions .We take big steps in order to move toward the future. We work day and light in order to achieve this. We are now at a position which is much better than before. We shall hopefully be even better in the future. And we shall achieve this altogether.”
DIFFERENT INVESTMENTS IN DIFFERENT SECTORS
The minister Kilic who said that the steps taken in Samsun must not be reflected negatively continued his statements as following : “Let’s evaluate the positive steps taken and the achievements which have been put forward correctly and tell these all over Turkey. There are different investments in our Samsun ongoing in different sectors. We make great efforts in order to support those investments and let them develop themselves. We currently cooperate closely with the Investment and Support Agency of the Prime Ministeriat. Furthermore we have some activities to realize in the field of tourism and culture.
Besides we carry out activities directed at letting different social activities introduced to the city of Samsun. When International Organizations are made in Samsun, they both contribute to the introduction of the city to the foreigners and also contribute to the economic and social life of our city.
GREAT CONTRIBUTIONS SHALL BE MADE TO PUBLICITY ACTIVITIES
The minister Kilic who said that they had made the first meeting of Preparation Committee for the Olympics of the Hearing Impaired 2017 further said the following : “We took our decisions during the meeting. I hope Our God shall let this organization bring goodness both for Samsun and our Turkey. We shall host approximately 10.000 guests in Samsun within a short period of approximately two weeks. Visits shall continue until that time and representatives of different international federations shal visit our city. These visits shall contribute a lot to the promotion of Samsun.. Through these steps we shall contribute altogether to the future of Samsun and the development of our country .
The minister of economy , Mustafa Yeşiltaş said that the voice of a factory and machinery which many people may perceive as a noise sounds to him like a poem or song and further said the following in this regard : “Some people perceive the sound of machinery like a noise but I perceive it like a poem or song.Everybody who have contributed to the national economy by building this industrial plant from a closed areas of 40.500 m2. are worth appreciating. The construction of this building was completed within 6 months. It is very important to put this plant into operation within a short time. Completion of the building of the plant and being able to start production and being in a position to switch the power on after one or two months is one of the most significant indicators of the developments achieved in the country . A construction area of 40.500 m2 is at stake in this Project. In the past I had to work for 2.5 years in order to complete the construction of a total area of 5.000 m2. Having the electricity connected, bring water to prepare mortar in the construction site, preparing the road to bring cement… all these were difficult tasks to fulfill. Borsan exports its products to 65 countries . The total amount of the export of electrical material from Turkey is approximately 10.5 billion USD. A portion out of that amount which approximately amounts to 2 billion USD corresponds to export of cables. We export the cables produced at this plant to 179 destinations all over the world . Since Borsan exports its products to 65 countries it may still export to additional 114 countries . I hope that one day in the future I shall ask Mr. Adnan Ölmez the number of the export countries from which were added to the present number of 65.
“WE WONDER AROUND THE WORLD TO FIND NEW MARKETS”
The minister Elitas who said that the age of copper cable has come to the end and the age of fiber optic cable has begun continued his statements as follows: “We are no longer in the age of the copper cable. Especially during the period of internal communication fiber optic must be an indispensable part of the production process . There are furnitures, hospitals, copper cable, aluminium cable. What is only missing is the fiber optic cable. Hopefully we shall come to the opening of the fiber optic cable plant of Borsan in the coming period. You do the opening on Monday. Because it is the special day of the factories when dry beans and rice is treated. We come to the opening of the fiber optic cable plant on Monday and eat our national meal. There is a circle of fire around Turkey. There is a fire along our borders with Syria which is 911 km long. Unrest and instability prevails in our 350 km long borders with Iraq. We have felt the necessity to search new markets as a result of the adverse political conditions prevailing in our close vicinity and our crisis with Russia. We wonder all over the world, step by step, with our president on one hand and with the prime minister on the other: for the purpose of finding out new markets and sell new products?” WE HAVE TAKEN THE FIRST STEP IN SAMSUN The minister Elitas who pointed out that the American economy is one of the biggest importing countries of the world continued his statements as follows: “America imports 17 239 different products from all over the world . 13 779 out of than total sum is of Chinese origin and 5 221 proucts are of turkish origin.This means that there are approximately 12 .000 nore products that the turkish companies may export to USA. The number of goods which are exported both by China and Turkey to USA is 1.008. The proceeds earned by Turkey from the export of those products is 2.8 billion USD and the proceeds earned by the China from the same export is over 70 billion USD. 771 product items are exported to USA both by Turkey and China. We see that the prices of the products of turkish origin are more suitable and cheap and has a more competitive advantage than the same products of chinese origin. Then, when we ask the question “why can’t we also export goods in the value of 70 billion USD?” we see that the the problem is that there is no sufficient capacity. For the first time in Turkey we have come together in Samsun today with the officials of the Ministry of economy and members of the non – governmental organizations to discuss how the goals for and the vision of 2023 would be handled throughout the year 2016 and the subsequent years.
These discussions would contribute to realizing such tasks as how I, as the minister of economy , remove the obstacles in front of exports and increase the incentives for exports, how can I develope new areas of investment and support products based on state-of-the-art technology and we shall also discuss about how the incentives given to the industrialists by the ministry may be more effective. The opening ribbon of the factory was cut following the prayer after the speeches.
