Special solutions for the cable sector from Renk Plastic

Could you introduce your company and products to us?
Our company Renk Plastik has been founded in the year 2001 by Turgay Sunay, who had passed away this year and Mustafa Çakır, who is still one of the shareholders of our company for the purpose of the supply of granules, especially pvc granules used in the cable sector . Our company has entered into a restructuring process following the death of Turgay Sunay and has united its potential with that of IŞIK family, which was one of the partners of the producer of plastifian, Napsan Kimya which was wellknown in the cable market and had put an end to its activities in 2009 and continues its path with biggers goals.
The products that we have produced are predominantly sheath , core, filling and macaron type but we may also produce pvc granules with the following specifications in accordance with the Rosh abd Reach regulations, in line with the demands of the customers: between 50 to 90 shore in the required colours, resistant to 70 C, 90 C, 105 C and 125 C, non-toxic, flame retardation, resistant to water- fat and petroleum, with nitrile and rubber additive, resistant to +40 – 40 C, with UV filter, phatalate free and many other specifications . Besides we also supply granules for cables, hoses, gaskets and macarons in the specifications and standarts required for the white goods sector.
What is the graphic of profitability in your sector? Could you please inform us about this subject ?
The main goal of the commercial companies is to grow with profits. However the mere ability to survive in the market has turned into the main goal of the companies in today’s business environment which is dominated by intensive competition , ceaseless change, complexity and ambiguity. The economic crisis which have been experienced in the recent past and the shrinking arising from the negative effects of those crisis may be shown among the main causes of the fall of the rate of profitability. As in many sectors, the profitability in our sector too continues to follow a downward trend . However our company does not think remaining indifferent against this situation. We think that there is always a way out. Our point of departure is always to create a difference while trying to realize a sustainable profitability in the totality of the products and services that we produce.
Could you make an evaluation of your company for the first six months of the year?
We are happy with our performance in the first quarter of the year 2013. We had closed the first half of 2013 with a growth of 20 % in comparison to the first half of 2012. We have also approached our growth target for the end of this year. The most important factor in that growth is the increase of sales to our existing customers but we can also not ignore the performances of two new companies which have been included in our customer portfolio this year. Our purpose is to keep our existing customer portfolio one one hand while including two or three new companies in our customer portfolio every year and continue growing in a stable manner in this way.
Do you have new activities in mind and new investment plans for the coming period ?
First of all I must state that the company Renk Plastik has tried to reach its goals without making any concessions from its understanding of quality and service since the date of its foundation . We have set bigger goals following the restructuring process that has been realized at the beginning of the year. We have decided to make new machinery investments in 2014 for the purpose of increasing both our quality and capacity . We also plan to make some new investments for our existing laboratory . Besides, we have some new products for which research and development studies are continuing. Our purpose is to produce right solutions in line with the needs of our market without making any concessions from our principles while creating a difference in the pvc granule market.
