Can you tell us about your products and services? SARMAKİNA Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. is a manufacturing, engineering and contracting company that has been founded in 1991 by SARKUYSAN A.S., which is the biggest copper wire manufacturer in Turkey. Main products:
Machines (Motor driven pay-offs and spoolers, rewinding lines, emulsion filters) supplied to wire and cable industry Standard and custom-made steel reels Furthermore we are making projecting, manufacturing, subcontracting and contraction works, steel construction works. What are your targets on exports during the upcoming year?
During the next one year our export targets are especially the European countries. We have customers from Germany, Italy and Austria who buy our machinery and steel reels periodically. Demands for SARMAKİNA’s products have increased because European economy has picked-up within the last 1-2 years has led the European companies to invest on new machinery and expand their production. Also competing with European machine manufacturers on quality and price lets SARMAKINA brand to be strongly recognized and also taking place in this critical market makes us proud so that we try to maximize our quality and services. We are continuing 2014 successfully and determined. We get happy that our exports have gone up compared to previous years.
What are your expectations in year 2014? What is your target for production and profits till the end of 2014?
We have routine local sales as usual. On the other hand especially this year our exports make us happy with our customer portfolio growing every day. There is competition in this sector just like in any other sector. I can say that we are strong enough not to have the need for competition in local market because of we believe in our quality and price for our payoffs, spoolers, rewinding machines and filters as well as our steel reels. Of course we have big competitors in global scale but they are not Far-Eastern manufacturers who sell low quality with low price, they are World’s biggest manufacturers such as Germany and other European countries. We are targeting a 10% growth in production and profits till the end of this year. Do you have new investment plans for the next season?
We have new improvements and investment plans for the upcoming season as we do every year. We started 2014 by introducing our new manufacturing line, glass yarn insulating copper and aluminum wires. Our new facility started production after its R&D completed at the end of 2013. We also started to have continuous trainings and educations as a company who is always thrilled for improvement for both products and self-achievements. We are having one-on-one educations and trainings for all operations to make our working environments safer, better, more efficient and to make our standards even higher, we improve ourselves even better than ever and we continue to grow every other day. We will live all our efforts and the positive outcomes with our dear customers. You antıcıpated to the Tube&Wire in Germany. What are your thoughts about the fair and afterwards?
We successfully exhibited ourselves and our products as an exhibitor as usual. We were happy about the customers’ interests on our stand and our show products such as our machinery, steel reels and glass yarn and paper insulated single/multi copper /aluminium wires. We were so proud to see the sectors biggest brands visiting our stand and tell us about their expansion plans, requesting solutions for their needs and problems followed by their purchase requests.
