Saying that they aim to increase the speed of growth and improvement that they had achieved since foundation of the company in 2006, and to keep the current customer-satisfaction and break into new markets to Access new customers, Nejdet Tıskaoğlu shared with us the problems of the sector and the solutions they suggested.
How was 2015 for your company? Could you achieve your targets? What are your expectations for 2016?
We can say that 2015 was not a good year not only for our company and sector but also for all other industries and companies, as a general assessment. It can be assessed as a troubled and ineffective, broadly, a lost year, due to the crisis environment caused by political problems. As for ELCAB KABLO, even though we did not achieve our target we determined at the beginning of the year, we have keep up our sales and current revenue, customer portfolio without sacrificing quality and gain new customers. However, it is obvious that the year was not generally good and productive despite of the fact that we did not experience a serious loss, and keep our current success level. As for 2016, we can say that the corporate companies, whose capital structures are strong, will be successful because of elimination of the political problems occurred in 2015, stabilization of the exchange rates and occurrence of the desired and expected stability in the markets.
Elcab kablo has operated in the sector for long years. From this point of view, could you tell us about the competition advantage and corporate identity of your company?
As ELCAB KABLO, operating in the sector for years, we are the fastest-growing company in the sector. Since starting up the product, our main policy is to meet the demands and needs of our customers at the top level for all products, to follow and apply the technological developments, to produce environment-friendly and society-friendly products and to provide our customers with the best quality products against the most favor cost, a policy which is customer-focused has provided us to be the favorite of the customers and be a step ahead. As for the corporate identity, the companies which are aware of the corporate identity and have this kind of structure will be demanded in the market and have competitive advantage and in the continual growth strategy, as I have specified in my reply to the previous question. We can say that the knowledge and experience we have in relation to the sector, our customer-focused production concept as well as the corporate identity add us value and advantage.
Could you make a market analysis in terms of the cable and wire sector? What kind of developments occurs in the main markets?
As for market analysis for the cable and wire sector, the fire warning cable which is not in our product range creates a great difference in terms of product diversity. Due to the political problems and instability in the markets, an important and significant improvement has not been observed in main markets, the companies not only in our sector but also in other industries tried to survive without growth or improvement and without losing altitude or to complete the year with the minimum loss. That’s why; there is no improvement in the main markets during this period.
The profit rate of cable and wire producers gradually decreases; what is your prediction about this issue?
There are some causes of the decrease in the profit rate of the cable and wire productions in our country. The primary causes are that not every company has adopted the corporate identity concept, that there are serious gaps in the regulations in terms of inspection-competency and certification and that the sector is a very sensitive to even the minor developments and in a very volatile ground. Some companies, unfortunately, sacrifice quality to increase the profit rate; and this leads to poor quality products in the markets and unfair competition as well as ignoring the R&D studies and getting away from the target to create a value of brand. Comparing our country with the other countries, the unproductive environment that occurs due to the handicaps listed above, results in lack of a renowned company on behalf of our sector throughout the world; and lead to lower profit rate even though we have a large market.
What kind of strategy will you follow in 2016? Are there any new markets that you plan to break into?
The political problems and crisis environment in 2015 has shown that the companies do not have corporate identity concept experience huge problems and difficulties to survive even in the smallest fluctuation or change. In other words, the problems experienced in 2015 have taught us a lesson that the companies without corporate identity concept will not be able to survive in such kind of crisis environments.
That’s why; we, as ELCAB KABLO, will have a strategy allowing us to be more leery with our corporate management concept, more selective in our works and more sensitive for our rate of profit. In 2016, as a company that can compete globally by applying the R&D studies, quality policies and technological developments required by the age to the
production process, providing economical solutions to the needs of the sector, producing in accordance with the international and national standards, prioritizing the customer demands and requests, being always in innovation and improvement, and being a leading company in quality, innovation and competition, we aim to increase the growth and improvement which we have escalated every year since our establishment, and to break into new markets in order to access new customers by keeping the current customer satisfaction.
