* Hello Mr. Tanış, May you talk about; your company and your products and your company’s activities in Turkey and in Russia with us?
Pan Chemicals is a leader producer and worldwide supplier of lubricants and coatings for wire drawing and rolling of ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel applications.
At the same time, PAN CHEMICALS supply Dies (all types), Spiral Brushes and Wiping Pads.
In addition, many machinery and equipments that help the wire industry are supplied to the information of the wire producers, as well as the production improvement technical support and engineering services.
Pan Chemicals is certified under UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.
The Company is now organised with one main production plant in North Italy, two Subsidiary Distribution Branches, 10 distributors and 20 Representative Agencies to supply its products and Services in more than 80 Countries around the world.
We have a wide range of services to the Turkish Iron & Steel (Wire Drawing) Market with our Warehouse-Office in Turkey, as well as with our Representative Company in Russia. We deliver our products to all Russian Wire Production Plants. We also offering our products and our technical support services as well as Belarus, Ukraine and Poland or countries close neighbors of Russia.

Although we are a company based in Italy, we are involved in working life at the global level, We may say that we are actively present in the world’s 80+ countries. Countries such as Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Germany, France, Russia, Turkey, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, India, South Africa, China, South Korea, Australia, United States of America, Colombia and etc..
* What is your job in your company? And How may a company (located anywhere in the world) share requests with PAN CHEMICALS and how may PAN CHEMICALS to respond to these requests?
I am Area Manager – Turkey of PAN CHEMICALS S.p.A. In other words, I can say that I am also Manager of PAN CHEMICALS BOSPHORUS. PAN CHEMICALS BOSPHORUS, located in Istanbul as Depot-Office and PAN CHEMICALS S.p.A Italy is organizing in the form of Turkey Office as the name of PAN CHEMICALS BOSPHORUS. So, we can indicate that we are in the structure of an organization like this.
I manage the workflow only on the prompt fulfillment of the requests and requirements of the Wire Drawing Companies within the boundaries of TURKEY.
With this situation, when the company in any country of the World is contacted via the PAN CHEMICALS Headquarters in Italy, or when they reach us in Turkey, The necessary support is provided simultaneously to the PAN CHEMICALS authorized company of the country in question at the moment of the request of the companies or companies in question.
At what level are you going to follow Iron & Steel Trends globally?
Due to the organizational structure of the company, we immediately follow trends in all countries. Therefore, all situations are constantly shared with our general office. As a result, we are developing various strategies according to the current situation.
* May you talk about developing various strategies against changes in Euro / Dollar / Turkish Lira parity?
Of course we may. The big peak fluctuations in this situation negatively affects the markets and we do should have develop various strategies. As the iron and steel market in Turkey is in global markets, as it is generally based on Euro and Dollar at raw material level, according to certain situations, almost every company has to take its own measures. We think that every player in this market must plan the workflow within certain plans by planning very well according to the current conditions.
Days, for months or even years, because of the competition conditions and marketing conditions are constantly changing or even developing. So, companies should have follow the market constantly and rapidly.
* If you are going to look at the situation locally, Could you share with us your views on Turkey’s position on the world iron and steel market and its position on the future?
We think that it can be understood better if we evaluate the question within some main headings. Namely; World Crude Steel Production Graph will be taken into consideration; We can say that Turkey has been ranked in the top 10 in the world even with a slight low-slope graph in recent years and that it can become almost competing with Germany when the necessary conditions are better provided within the context.
We can also say that Turkey is displaying the same stability in the World Steel Consumption Graph with a more positive sloping curve this time. Of course, more consumption will bring more production. So, Turkey has a structure that will be able to climb up the production line with the realization of necessary export operations with market investments and project investments. Important point for us that, that if every player has to run the market in the correct way and plan the Iron and Steel Economy of the Country. Turkey will be hire in the Global Market with a more succesfull way.
So if we summarize the subject; If the important stones are replaced and necessary plans are made, Turkey will be placed in the world iron and steel market more powerfully.
* Are there any plans, projects or investments that PAN CHEMICALS S.p.A has developed or is developing at the global level or with Turkey framework?
PAN CHEMICALS S.p.A. Certainly there are some projects in Italy that we plan to carry out in the short, medium, long term on the Earth. Of course, we also have projects that we have planned for the Turkish market.
We may share all this projects with the World Market when the projects will finished.
