KLAS Cable has been preferred in HABOM project in Sabiha Gökçen Airport

Aviation Maintenance , Reparation and Modification Center (HABOM) which is to be built in Sabiha Gökçen Airport comprises airc¬raft maintenance hangars and the comple¬mentary units.
The premises which shall be constructed wit¬hin the scope of the HABOM Project, which is to be built on a area of approximately 20 hec¬tars, are as follows: : Aİrcraft maintenance hangar and additional building for aircraft with a large airframe General center building Social center Dressing and security building Workshop buildings Chemical store and infrastructure and landsca¬pe works related thereto Multi-storey car park and infrastructure and landscape works related thereto Energy center Waste store Water treatment plant The amount of the total investment planned for the maintenance hangar for aircraft and com¬ponents to be built is approximately 500 million USD and it is planned to have a share of 1 billi¬on USD in the market of maintenance of airc-raft and aircraft components in the year 2020. Turkish Airlines Tecnical Inc. aims at being the permanent shareholder of the Habom Project which it shall realize and additionally seriously considers to realize this new investment in the form of an international joint venture as a seri¬ous alternative . Istanbul shall become the new maintenance and reparation center of the regi¬on thanks to this new investment and the alre¬ady existing premises. Aİrcraft maintenance and reparation premises to be built in Sabiha Gökçen international air¬port shall be built on a piece of land of over
372.000 m2. Approximately 3,500 employees are planned to be employed in all the mainte¬nance and reparation premises which are to be built within the scope of the HABOM project . All premises to be set up within the scope of the HABOM project has been designed in an environmentally sensitive manner which ensu¬res a maximum energy saving.
KLAS KABLO brand has been preferred in all the weak current cabling system of the project Klas Kablo brand halogen-free cables which do not conduct flame have been developed for the protection of human lives, valuable materi¬al and important documents during a fire which breaks out in places where people meet together like company headquarters, hospitals , shopping centers, cinemas, subways, power plants and fire-fighting centers. During a fire, the fire alarm systems , ventilation systems , elevators, warning and orientation lights and doors must continue operating for at least a certain time. For that reason the feeding and control cables of those systems must be halo¬gen-free (HFFR) safety cables.
Specifications of halogen-free (HFFR) safety cables of KLAS KABLO brand They don’t contain halogenous elements like fluor, chlorine, bromium and iodine. Poisinous gases are not emitted when HFFR material burn and only water and carbon are released. HFFR material do not transmit flames. They are polyethylen (PE) and polypropylen (PP) material which are halogen-free but can easily burn. They can extinguish spontaneously . This featu¬re is obtained by using special components that contain aluminium or magnesium hydroxi-de. Smoke intensity is at a very low level during fire. For that reason these cables are used especi¬ally in places where the human live may be under risk. These cables maintains electrical conductivity for a significant period of time (150 minutes at 800 +- 50 C). Additionally, the functionality of the cable may be increased to the level FE 180/E90/ PH 180 by using material such as glass fibre, mica etc. Halogen-free, fire-resistant cables of Klas Kablo brand have been used in numerous pro¬jects in Turkey and all over the world with trust in 1984. The products included in the fire-resis¬tant cable group of Klas Kablo brand are the holder of product certificates issued by stan¬dart institutions such as the german VDE, rus¬sian fire institute and TSE.
