Enver Şinik, General Manager of Melihsah Makine: We are about to commission a Mobile Cable Breaking and Sorting system a new project.

Our company has been and is producing machines for cable breaking, e-waste breaking, and waste tire recycling in Konya since 2005. Holding the quality as number one priority, our company is exporting machines to 64 countries and, serving more than 360 sales point in the country.
Despite the tremendous political and economic crises in 2016, our company has successfully increased its production and sales numbers. We also performed two machine installations in November, one in Saudi Arabia and one in Dubai.
In recent years, companies have become reluctant to do investment due to high costs of labour, power as well as lack of sufficient capital. Considering technological developments and taking increasing costs into account, our company has decided to initiate a Mobile Cable Breaking and Sorting system a new project. In our project, we turned a truck bed into a platform on which cable cutting, pre-breaking and sorting machines have been mounted, and thus we are, now, able to break and sort 3-5 ton cables per hour. And since this system operates with a generator, there wouldn’t be a need for power.
We can summarize the working principle of the system as follows: Depending on the weight of the cables, our truck will come to your company, park at the designated area, break the cables in the presence of your agent, and then, so granulated copper and plastics will be weighted, re-packed, and delivered to your company. Since a generator will be used to operate the system, there will not be a power cost.
The most important advantage of the system is that there won’t be waste or lost copper during the process as were the case with outsourced process. Since the cables will be broken in the presence of the customer, he/she would able to see the breaking method, the amount of the copper extracted from the cable, copper vs. plastic ratio, etc., and after breaking process is done, the copper remained in the machine will be removed and delivered to the customer. Thus, it’s possible to compare pre-process amount with the post-process amount. We will provide the customer with an opportunity to recycle the cables in his/her inventory without any extra charge, cost, or labour, and such cables kept as scraps will be used again in manufacturing as copper and plastics. We completed the trial period of the system, and the machine will be used in December depending on the demands.
