First of all, what is the range of products Gurfil offers on the cable market?
Gurfil Foil-Film-Tape A.S. has started serving cable industry in 1981 with Raw materials for cable manufacturers and today the company has expanded it’s product range into three main groups with more than 100 products. These products are:
Foil, Film and Tape Group ALU/PET laminates (ALU/PET, ALU/PET/ALU, ALU/PET/SY, ALU/COPOLY), CU/PET laminates (CU/PET, CU/PET/SY), Polyester film (Mylar, PET film), Mica tape (phlogopite, muscovite and synthetic), PP Identification tape, Polyester non-woven tape, Pure Aluminium foil, Pure Copper foil, Fiberglass tape, PP foam tape, Kraft paper, Crepe paper, Semi-conductive tape, Swelling tape, Fiberglass yarn, Ripcord yarn. With 35 years of experience Gurfil managed to take a leading position on Global cable market among Braiding machine and Mica taping machine suppliers. Up to today we had supplied cable factories around the globe with over 1600 vertical & horizontal braiding machines and 250 taping machines and continue to serve our present and potential customers. Who is your main customer on the market?
Gurfil’s Foil, Film, Tape products and Machinery are preferred not only by most of Turkish cable producers but also by more than two hundred cable producers in over 35 countries. We are registered supplier for internationa cable groups such as Nexans and Prysmian in different countries.
Gurfil’s Foil – Film – Tape products together with Machinery are widely used to design and produce Coaxial cables, Fiber-optic communication cables, Data (LAN) cables as well as Flame retardant halogen free cables and Special Cables which are widely used in buildings, power plants, oil fields, coal mines, subways, railways, marine and urban transport cable companies.

What is the advantage of your company?
To get to the point quickly we offer competitive prices with short production and delivery time. At our factory in Istanbul we have 3 lamination, coating, printing lines for multilayer cable tapes; 8 slitting and 2 x 18 heads spooling lines. High production capacity and individual approach to each customer allow us to improve the efficiency of production processes and optimize logistics. In addition to that, all Gurfil’s materials and processes are in strict quality assurance program certified with ISO 9001. As we all know today cable manufacturers are faced with new safety requirements such as fire resistance, stability and mechanical resistance. It is our policy to maintain an effective quality assurance program so our products and services meet the requirements and conform to the cable industry accepted standards in the manufacturing of all kind of cables.

What do you expect from participation in Wire 2018?
The Wire Trade show is the most important event for the Cable industry. We expect high interest in our products, promising business contacts and, as a result, new interesting projects and orders.
In addition to that this exhibition allows us to collect and to summarize the preferences of our current and potential customers, cable engineers and designers to develop and provide a better products and services in the nearest future.
What are the goals of your company?
For Gurfil ambition is a crucial aspect in becoming successful. But ambition must be backed up with a daily consistent action. Annually we increase the volume of production and sales of products while maintaining high quality.
