The company maintains its ranking in the list of ISO by being the leader of the cable sector subsequently for 12 years since the year 2004. Mr. Kakillioglu who stated that they are proud of representing the brands created in the province of Kayseri at the top of ISO 500 list has answered our questions about the cable sector: There is an intensive competition and profit margins are low in the sector and consequently the diversification of the markets is necessary.
Could you please give us some information about the activities of your company?
As Hes Cable we shape our organizational structure in line with the management values and rules adopted by Boydak Holding of which we are a subsidiary. Our brand which was created for the purpose of producing energy cables in the year 1974, provides service to the cable and wire sector with its production of fiber optic cables, copper communication cables, energy cable, high-voltage energy cable, aluminium conductor and enamel coil wire thanks to its experience in the sector dating back to 40 years and the investments that it has realized. As factors accounting for the fact that Hes Cable is the most well-known and preferred brand in the cable sector we may mention the fact that it follows up the needs of the sector closely and offers to its customers quality products at a suitable cost as well as the fact that the production of copper and aluminium wire rods which are the basic raw material of the cable production, the production of PVC and HFFR granules which are the basic raw material for the production of substances like filling/casing/insulation material and the production of material like spools, cases and pallets which are packaging material are carried out in the integrated facilities of the company. Besides Hes Cable is a brand which has let its quality and reliability officially registered by means of certifications which are valid both at home and abroad. The products manufactured in the facilities of Hes Cable are the holders of quality certificates for compliance with Quality standarts like ISO, TSE, VDE, GOST, UKRSEPRO, KEMA, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 10002, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, TS 18001 quality systems as a result of the inspections periodically carried out by the national and international inspection companies.
What is your evaluation about the first quarter of the year 2016 and what are your expectations from the second quarter?
The first-quarter of the year 2016 has been a busy period during which our sector has grown as a result of putting the projects, which has been postponed due to the election environment of the last year, to practice. We had started the year 2016 with hope and optimism. The orders that we have received and sale volumes that we have realized have been at a higher level in comparison to the first-quarter of the last year. However the political and economic developments affecting our country and the neighboring regions shall be the main decisive factors for the remaining part of the year. As Hes Cable we believe that this trend of growth shall continue and the year 2016 as a whole shall be completed as a more efficient and positive year in comparison to the last year unless challenging conditions emerge in political and economic terms.

Could you make an evaluation of the general situation, future and problems of the cable sector both in our country and in the global markets?
Cable is mainly an investment material … On the other hand peace and stability are the two main preconditions for investment. For that reason serious investments are out of the question in the markets where there is no stability. Within this framework it is one of our most important expectations to be involved in the projects which shall increases the welfare of both our country and region. First of all, construction sector is the largest sector which also influences other sectors as well… Cable as well as other sectors shall be positivley influenced by the development of the urban transformation projects and production of branded housing units in Turkey.
Branded housing units or the housing units produced by urban transformation projects are fully equipped structures which are superior in terms of security and technological features. And the cables which are used during the construction of those structures have very good quality.
It is possible to see that the companies which are engaged in non-standard production are sorted out from the market and a more reasoable level has been reached in terms of the relationship between profitability and competition parallel to the rising education level, increasing awareness of the users and the institutionalization of the companies which buy cables. The preference of the branded and reliable cables brings about a positive impact on the development of the cable sector in our country as well as all over the World.
Could you give us information about the sales to the domestic market and your activities directed at export?
As Hes Cable we export our products to more than 130 countries today. We may list our targets for the near future as growth through exports, introduction of the brand of Hes Cable to wider markets and selling at least 50 % of our production volume to foreign markets. In the year 2013 we obtained a turnover in the amount of 1 billion 205 million TL, out of which 935 TL were obtained from domestic sales while 110 million TL was obtained from exports. We have set our target for turnover from the domestic sales for the year 2016 as 1 billion TL.
