22nd Yapı – Turkeybuild Izmir hosted 23.525 visitors!
The biggest building sector gathering of the Aegean and the Mediterranean; 22nd Yapı – Turkeybuild Izmir received great interest!
22nd Yapı – Turkeybuild Izmir, the biggest exhibition of the Aegean and the Mediterranean, came to an end. The exhibition, which took place on November 3-6 at fuarizmir, hosted 23.525 visitors. The exhibition, at which the latest technologies, products and services of Turkish building sector were exhibited, hosted many events that provided the sector with information flow and new markets and these events received great interest. Yapı – Turkeybuild Izmir, which is organized by YEM Exhibitions as the biggest exhibition of Turkish building sector in the Aegean and the Mediterranean, took place for the 22nd time. The exhibition gathered the latest products, services and technologies of 350 exhibitors with 23.525 visitors at a field of 19.000 m2.
ITE Turkey and YEM Exhibitions General Manager Burcu Başer said the following: “As YEM Exhibitions, after Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul and Ankara, we met with our visitors for the 22nd time at Yapı – Turkeybuild Izmir. We gathered the Aegean and the Mediterranean representatives of the building sector, which is one of the locomotive sectors of Turkey, and provided a professional business and development platform. This year, in the scope of the 22nd Yapı – Turkeybuild Izmir and similar to the 39th Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul, we organized four different events under the titles of “Business Development Platform”, “Seminar Area” and “Architecture and Architecture Culture”. Our goal was to provide information flow to the sector and contribute to its business volume. We are proud to be laying the foundation for these supports to the sector and closely following the sector’s development” The events at the exhibition received great interest! In the scope of the 22nd Yapı – Turkeybuild Izmir, there were “Business Development Platform Activities” which provide benefits for the development of new markets, “Seminar Area” which provides information flow to the sector and “Architecture and Architecture Culture” activities. The event, which is organized in the scope of the exhibition’s “Business Development Platform Activities” with the cooperation of Izmir Sorbets Mimarlar Derneği (IzmirSMD) and Yapı – Endüstri Fuarcılık (YEM) with support from YEM Exhibitions, took place at the fairground on November 3, 2016 between 13:30 and 19:30. At the fifth meeting of the event series, which gathered Turkey’s 20 prominent architecture offices & IzmirSMD members with the building sector professionals, the exhibitors had the chance to conduct B2B sessions and exchange ideas about the projects of member architects and the services of the companies.
The “BUILD UPON – Workshop for Developing Awareness for Building Energy Improvements” which is organized by Turkish Green Building Council (ÇEDBİK) and supported by YEM Exhibitions took place at the “Seminar Area” within the exhibiton venue on Thursday November 3, 2016 between 10:00 and 16:30. The workshop was be based on increasing awareness for the energy efficiency of Turkey’s current buildings; the goal was to increase public and end user awareness and make sure that the decision makers and the labor required for renovation are trained. Renowned architects were hosted at “Architecture and Architecture Culture” Events…
The “Architecture Environments” event, which was moderated by Master Architect H. Cenk Dereli and attended by speakers Architect Kerem Piker and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurbin Paker, took place at the “Seminar Area” within the fairground on Friday November 4, 2016 at 11:30. At the event, Architect Kerem Piker and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurbin Paker shared their opinions within the thematic scope of “contest, office, academy and more”. The “On Architecture, Design and Urbanization in Izmir with Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu” event, which was moderated once again by Master Architect H. Cenk Dereli, took place at the “Seminar Area” within the fair ground on Friday November 4, 2016 at 14:00. At the event, Teğet Mimarlık’s Founding Partner and Master Architect Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu shared his opinions on architecture, design, urbanization and creativity in Izmir and the local opportunities within these fields through the projects in Izmir in which he is a stakeholder and his views on Izmir. The event received great interest from visitors.
The best stands were awarded! Golden Magnet Awards met their winners…
Yapı – Turkeybuild’s traditional “Golden Magnet Stand Design Awards” were presented to their winners as a part of the exhibition. The jury that consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burkay Pasin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seniz Çıkış, Construction Engineer Yusuf Kılınç, Architect Yenal Akgün and Interior Architect Yelda Erantgil evaluated the stands in the exhibition by characteristics such as “The connection the stand makes with the product, the stand putting emphasis on requested specification of characteristics in the best way possible, organization of the stand as a 3D design object and aesthetic criteria on the visual material usage on the stand”.
Per the evaluation result of the jury, First Prize; was given to the Ponsblok Madencilik ve Yapı Elemanları San. ve Tic. Aş. stand designed by Asar-ı Nefise. Second Prize; was given to the self designed Beymetal Alüminyum San. Tic Ltd. Şti stand. Third Prize; was given to the Ak Alev Manyezit Levha Üretim san. ve Tic. Aş. stand designed by Bora Çelik Dizayn.
Honorable Mention Prize was presented to the self-designed Berk Demir Çelik İnşaat San. ve Tic Ltd. Şti Malzemeleri stand. YEM Exhibitions Special Prize was presented to the self-designed Orge Yapı Tasarım Dekorasyon İnş. Nak. Mad. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti stand.
