PWM to introduce new cold welders at wire 2016
British company PWM Ltd, leading manufacturer of cold pressure welding equipment, will introduce two new cold welding machines at wire 2016 (stand 9B41).
The ST40 air/hydraulic strip welder is designed for cold welding non-ferrous strip and tape used on armouring lines. The machine, for strip and tape with a maximum width of 45mm (1.772″) and a maximum cross sectional area of 33mm² (0.0514″²) produces strong, reliable bonds without loss of electrical integrity. Like all PWM welders, the ST40 is low maintenance, simple and cost effective to operate. Mounted on a trolley, it can be wheeled easily to the work area, reducing downtime.
PWM’s HP180T air/hydraulic cold welder is a versatile machine for wire sizes 0.30mm to 1.80mm (.0118” to .071”). Supplied on a trolley, it can be hand-held (within the limit of the air supply pipe) if required. Quick and easy to use, the HP180T enables the operator to produce strong consistent welds without effort. An alternative version of the machine (the HP180CP), with its air/hydraulic booster in a carry pack, is also available.
The company will also exhibit its energy-efficient rod welders, for rod 5mm to 30mm (.197” to 1.181”) and its range of manual cold welders, for wire sizes 0.10mm to 5.00mm (.0039” to .197”).
