Stating that we had the opportunity to share our coating system with the industry by producing a viable solution for the cable industry in the rubber belts we have made since 2010, MBA Industrial Products General Manager Mustafa Baha Bey shared our readers with information about their companies and products.”

When and how did your company start its commercial activities?

Our company started to appear in 2017 with the idea of contributing to the country economy by means of the domestic incentive and being the domestic manufacturer of products, which we have to import. After we decided that some products, for which we already need foreign countries, may be produced in our country, we founded our company under the name of “MBA Endustriyel Urunler Pazarlama” in order to realize that in accordance with the law. We also registered our trademark “BAUBELT” in 2017 and we started our promotions with this name. Actually, our beginning is based on the fact that our rubber company, which already produces rubber products, also represents the 3rd generation. Our experience about rubber since 1972 has helped us in the cable sector and ensured us to find the right product. We are trying to use our acquired experience in our new company and to offer the best products for our domestic and foreign customers.

What do you want to say about your subject of activity?

Unfortunately, what we do as business is not actually the matters, in which large mass will be interested; we occupy with the matters, which are the large part of our life, such as food, construction or automotive. Even though we offer products in many fields such as lighting, textile, good, poultry, packaging, etc., actually, all of our products are based around Rubber products. To sum up the rubber technology, in the history of automobile, we all know the gap between the first mass production (1908 Henry Ford) and today’s situation in today’s automobile. Besides, even though 100 years have elapsed since rubber started to be used after the wooden wheel used in carts as wheels, we still use rubber wheels or tires, because no alternative product may be developed. Rubber producers and users have been derivatized this product very much, because such variation may not be formed. Therefore, the rubber material, which is not deemed appropriate for hard conditions in the beginning, currently finds place for itself in many fields of our life. As well as we work in many different sectors with products that we also produce, the cable sector also appeared to us in 2016 as a sector that we discovered and saw the needs.

In rubber belts, which we have produced since 2010, (timing or cam), we have found the opportunity to produce our coating system as an applicable solution for the cable sector and to share with the sector. We also produce the coatings of ribbed belts used currently for the measurement belts. We have made our final production by focusing on the matters such as innovation, resistance, towability, which European rivals offered based on the production systems, compared to our products.

Within this scope, we supply our products to our cable producers in 5
regions of Turkey. If we want you to share information about your products and their areas of use, what can you say?

Rubber is a bit niche in the sector, as required by the business, and is active in an area with limited producers. Rubber enters into our life at the blind spot, where there are variable parameters such as flexibility, impermeability, antislip on the joints of mostly used materials such as plastic, iron and other metal derivatives used more in today’s conditions. In this matter, rubber has been functioning as by-product, which allows to work in different conditions in itself such as resistance-based, flexibility-based, high temperature based. Our products also work in the cable sector by using the adhesion power required by the tensile strength for the spinning on the rollers. We use natural rubber as the material derivative and the natural rubber is the tree sap by its nature. Therefore, the products are the products in the types that do not give any damage to the environment and even, we can consider as organic.

When we want you to evaluate the year of 2019 for your company, what can you say? What are your targets and expectations for 2020?

We can qualify the year of 2019 as a successful year in terms of acquisition of new customers and the development of product and production experience. Even though we have gone through a bottleneck as a country, considering the last year cumulatively, we consider ourselves in a good position.

How important is the European market for your company? With which countries do you work globally?

European market is an important geography, because they are close to us and they determine our position in the competition in a hierarchic way. Much more close states and the products produced by other suppliers already force us to make difficult decisions. If we can ensure our planned percentage shares about sharing such narrow market, we will feel completely that we will prove ourselves in the worldwide market. Because, contrary to some wrong approaches in our country, customers with high expectations about high quality products force you to offer faultless and smooth products and to make better productions thanks to your rivals. The winner of this situation will be us by producing good products and Turkey as a country supplying good products.

What do you want to say about the competition environment in the sector?

Every sector has its own difficulties and parameters. Nobody earns money easily. Our disadvantage is to be a new and unknown company. Therefore, we constantly test our products and share in order to encourage the places, which we are working or we will work. Thus, we can start to work with a company, which we have just started working, continuously.

Could you inform us about the position of your company in the sector and its power in the market?

Considering our position among our other rivals in the sector, as far as we see, we are the 2nd or 3rd largest supplier of the sector. Our target is to proceed to the leadership, of course. About this matter, our works about growing our share in the market with devotion are continuing. At last, if you want to add any issue or issues, please share with us. I want to enter into an issue, in which the same situation is also in question for us. After we find the places that we provide good prices and good products, other matters, such as annual price increases, are of secondary importance all the time. At the end of the day, we find ourselves in a place where operational blindness occurs and routinized and unimproved products are continued to be purchased. We should get rid of our habits and we should stop ignoring new developments in the sector and being closed to the innovations. We should show that we are open to the change both with language and actually. Actually, this is the biggest difficulty that we suffer. Persons who are closed to new products. Therefore, unfortunately, we remain in an unimproved position, where we insist on using the old technology.I am also sharing a cartoon that I like very much about the matter. I wish we will be open to change and development both with language and actually.
