IREM GUNERCAN who stated that they aim at commissioning the plastic injection line and full automatic plugin cable production line which is planned to have a machinery park of 80 to 400 tons in our industry 4.0 compliant second production facility gave information about our company and products.
Could you please give us information about the corporate identity of your company?
REKA A.S. has been founded in Manisa Muradiye industrial zone in the year 2014 with a number of employees with the purpose of operating as a supplier in the field of cable grouping especially for the durable household products, heating and cooling, digital and commercial refrigerator sectors. Its number of employees has increased to 35 when it has move to its own building with a 4000 square meters closed and 5000 square meters open area located at the third part of Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, at the end of 2015.
Having accelerated its growth along with moving to its own modern production facility REKA A.S has raised its number of employees to 168 out of whom 9 were white collar workers and achieved and increase of 1500 % in its turnover for the first year. It aims to increase the number of employees to 180 until the end of the year at the same time. REKA A.S. applies a positive discrimination in favor of women by employing women at a percent of up to 90% in various positions ranging from the store officer to the forklift operator. REKA A.S. which has grown rapidly in a short period of time like 3 years following its foundation has achieved its goal of becoming a preferred company in the durable goods subindustry. REKA A.S. explains this achievement first of all by its ability to realize a flexible production just on time with minimum error and reasonable cost and is thankful to its specialized and qualified team who has applied these principles correctly to achieve the desired end.
REKA A.S. which has the flexibility to take action on time depending on the changing demands and plans of its customers has adopted the principle of operating with minimum stock cost without interrupting the production lines of its customers. The desired reduction of cost is automatically obtained as a result of working with this principle
What kind of Novelties and actions do you plan to introduce to your company for the upcoming period in line with your goals?
REKA A.S. plans to make an investment for the production of plastic injection and plug-in x cables in line with its goals in the third quarter of the year 2018. The enterprise which plans to realize these Investments especially in the industry 4.0 compliant production lines aims at increasing the range of products it offers to its customers. The company plans to increase the percentage of its components in the final product produced by its customers through the increasing number of components that it produces and, in this way, at putting aside its identity as a standard subindustry supplier and becoming a strategic partner that can take decisions jointly with its customers.
Could you make an evaluation of the Year 2017 from the standpoint of your sector?
2017 has been a quite good year for our sectors.. We must especially state that the negative atmosphere that has emerged following the treacherous attempt at coup d’etat has been removed thanks to the additional measures taken by our government in favor of the companies operating in the durable household sector and general manufacturing enterprises and the general production has reached a much more higher level in the year 2017 as a result of these measures. Additional measures taken in favor of the durable household products as tax reductions have shown their impact very quickly and consequently the level of production first in the main industry of the sector and subsequently in the sub Industries has increased compared to the previous years. Throughout this process it has been observed that besides the increase in the sales to the domestic markets export figures have also increased and all these developments had a positive influence on the subindustries.
What are the goals of your company for the year 2018?
Oue target for the year 2018 is two increase our current turnover 30% and number of employees 10 %. 2018 will be a year of Investments for our company at the same time. We aim at commissioning the plastic injection line and full automatic plug-in cable production line which is planned to have a machinery park of 80 to 400 tons in our industry 4.0 compliant second production facility.
What would you finally like to add to your statements?
Main industries must support new and innovative companies like us. Main industries used to provide more support for subindustries in the previous periods. However we think that they must also support the newly-founded SME’s like us. More support must be provided for the. companies which have proven their quality by realizing considerable achievements in a relatively short time because of the difficulty of competing in the global markets in today’s world. At this point we plan to set up our second factory in compliance with industry 4 .0 and also to bring our existing plants in compliance with industry 4.0 step by step. We have started our studies aiming at achieving this end. REKA A.S. has aimed at being a company which continuously develops itself and becoming a company of first choice in the sector.
