We interviewed with Etik Plast Kablo ve Plastik Hammaddeleri Sales and Marketing Manager Ajda Helvacıoğlu on the company, products and targets.
First, I would like to ask the reason for involving in this industry. What are the reasons bringing you this journey?
Our purpose in joining this industry is to bring innovation to cable and plastic manufacturing processes as well as to make a contribution by bringing cost effective and high quality products to Turkey. Besides, we also intend to make our customers to gain advantage against competitors in terms of price and quality.
Since our products attract attention of biggest companies in the industry in terms of quality and properties whereas our products make difference and contribute to the subsidiary goods through high quality, the customers started to prefer our products continuously which in turn encouraged us. Furthermore, we brought certain products to our target market in a cost effective manner by maintaining the quality level and this fact was confirmed by biggest companies in the industry. Accordingly, we reached our initial targets in a short period of 2 years.
What are your products? What kind of advantages the customers would utilize during usage process?
In particular, “EFAME” (Epoxy Fatty Acids Methyl Ester) refers to an alternative plasticizer reducing the main plasticizer agent content by 30%. If this amount is added to the relevant recipe, this product provides a significant advantage in costs without affecting the quality.
Further products titled ESO (Epoxy Soybean Oil) and CEBE (Compounded Epoxy Biologic Ester) have similar properties and stand as supplementary plasticizers. The stated products are manufactured by Cina Corp Group, as one of the biggest producers in China. Cina Corp is specialized in inflators and plasticizers. As Etikplast, we represent this company in Turkey. We also represent further companies manufacturing various products for the industries such as cables, plastics and metal casting. The stated products include phlogopite mica tape (laminated and prelaminated), anti-termite and anti-rodent, nonwoven or woven tapes used in cable industry, yarn fillers, flake graphite and graphite rolls. In this short period of our presence in this industry, we had the opportunity to observe certain deficiencies and requirements through our one-to-one meetings. As everybody knows, diamond and carbide types are used mostly for conductive twisting process. Since the cost of diamond rolling is quite high and the lifetime of carbide rolling is very short, we focused on nano-rolling process. Following our studies, we extended our distribution network of Etikplast by representing “Anchmold” brand in Turkey. Nano-rolls are as durable as diamond rolls while both materials have similar qualities. Besides, the stated rolls are favorable in comparison to the alternatives due to competitive prices. As Etikplast, we will continue focusing on our innovative approach by maintaining the quality level of products we have supplied up to this date and by following technological advancements in the industry. In addition, we will keep contributing to the industry by our constant search for cost effective and quality products.
