Would you please tell us about establishment of your firm and phase your firm reached? Thank you too also for this interview opportunity it is a pleasure answering your questions. Pan Chemicals is a vibrant modern company situated in Italy. Set up in 1987 by a group of people with highly experience in the application of lubricants and asso- ciated technology to the wire industry. Pan Chemicals has rapidly acquired a leading role in the market thanks to its constant innovation and high responsive- ness to customer needs. Nowadays Pan Chemicals supplies its products all over the world, being one of the major players among wire drawing lubricant producers. In 2013 we established Pan Chemicals Bosphorus, dri- ven by the desire to better serve the Turkish market, and in 2017 we founded a new company in Mexico to serve the wire industry mainly in Central America and South America: “Pan Chemicals Americas”. What would you like to tell us about why your products and your firm is preferred? Pan Chemicals provides a wide range of wire drawing lubricants and complementary products to wire dra- wing companies. We work with our customers and for our customers, with our specialised Research and Engineering staff we are proud to offer a full range of high-quality products combined with technical service at a great value for money. We are characterized by flexibility, we do our best to deliver our products in two weeks from the order, offe- ring customized solutions that fit with the different rea- lities. Our company is customer-oriented, it catches the cus- tomer requirements and it is ready to provide the tech- nical assistance doing much more than simply supp- ling the final product. This is the result of a strong col- laboration between our partners and us. Mr. Ferrari, thanks for your answers. We know you are an economist so would you mention briefly about the developments in Euro-Dollar parity and its consequen- ces on your export activity? Do you think high exchange rate is an advantage? Pan Chemicals major supplies are in Europe, for this reason we are not significantly affected by the Euro- Dollar exchange rate. Exporting our products to the Turkish market we are sensible to the Euro-Turkish Lira exchange rate. In 2018 the Turkish Lira weakness resulted in an increase in the import costs for our customers, for this reason Turkish currency appreciation would be prefe- rable for our company and our customers. Nevertheless, in the past year we slightly suffered the negative consequences of the exchange rate and we put our effort trying to accommodate our partners in this difficult context. In a competitive environment how has 2018 passed for you and what are your expectations from 2019? 2018 has been a positive year for Pan Chemicals. Looking at Turkey we significantly increased our pro- ducts supply and our market share. This means we are seen as a reliable supplier in terms of quality and assistance. For 2019 the aim is to enhance our col- laboration with the Turkish wire produ- cers, consolidating the current custo- mer portfolio and doing our best propo- sing our experience to new companies that are willing to solve particular issu- es or want to optimize their production process. This is supported by Pan Chemicals people, in particular Mr. Hakan Tanis Turkey Country Manager. You are a participant of 28th February – 2nd March 2019 Wire Fair. What are your expectations from 2019 Wire Fair? What would you like to say to the firms and to your visitors? Istanbul Wire Fair 2019 is an event that Pan Chemicals could not miss. Our company participates as exhibitor from several years. The importance of this fair relies on the opportunity both for meeting our current customers and at the same time introducing Pan Chemicals to new wire drawing compa- nies and other important actors of our sector. The message for all the Wire Fair visitors is do not hesi- tate to visit our stand we are at your disposal for any information you might need. Mr. Ferrari, we would also like to hear your opinions about near future. Will there be new markets you are planning to gain in near future, according to which situations do you shape your plans and strategies, if you could share with us? For the future our focus is to improve the market penet- ration in selected countries. The strategy and the plans that allow to reach this objective vary from country to country. For this reason, we first perform a market analysis, we look at our internal capacities and means and finally we evaluate the market entry options. The countries with whom Turkey has solid economic relati- ons are seen with much interest from our side. Mr. Ferrari, thanks for all your sincere answers.
